Email help@tundra.industries. A person reads it.

Three things people email about. Start here.

How do I mute someone?

Open the person from the home screen, then Mute. Their asks stop reaching you, and they see Muted on their end instead of a silent failure — no sneaking. Unmute in the same place.

If you want it gone entirely, use Remove. That ends the pair for both of you and deletes the proofs you made together.

If you only want quiet at night, you do not need to mute anyone: set Settings → Quiet hours. Asks that land inside them wait until the quiet hours end, and your clock starts then.

How do I delete everything?

Settings → Delete everything, then confirm. That deletes your account, your people, every ask and every photo, on both sides. It is immediate and it cannot be undone. Your people will see you disappear.

Deleting the app by itself does not delete your data. Do this first, then delete the app.

I didn’t get the notification

Work down this list.

  • Notifications on. iOS Settings → You Dead? → Notifications → Allow Notifications, with Lock Screen, Notification Centre and Banners all on, and Sounds on.
  • Time Sensitive Notifications on. Same screen. This is the setting that lets an ask break through a Focus. Without it an ask can sit silently until you next unlock.
  • Check your Focus. iOS Settings → Focus → the Focus you use → Apps, and allow You Dead?. Sleep Focus and Do Not Disturb silence everything else by design.
  • Turn off Scheduled Summary for You Dead?, in Settings → Notifications → Scheduled Summary. A summary holds asks until the summary fires, which is exactly the wrong behaviour here.
  • Check your own quiet hours in the app. If an ask arrived inside them, it was delivered quietly on purpose.
  • Low Power Mode and a dead network both delay pushes. Apple does not queue them forever.
  • Test it. Settings → Send me a test ask. If the test arrives and real asks do not, email us with the time of the ask and we will look at our side.

Something else

Email help@tundra.industries with your iPhone model, the iOS version, and roughly when it happened. The rest of the common questions are answered on the home page.

If you are worried about someone right now

Call them. Then call the people around them. If they set a backup contact, the app shows you who that is. If you believe they are in danger, call your local emergency number and ask for a welfare check at their address. You Dead? is not an emergency service and does not contact anyone on your behalf.
